The red card debacle was some absolute garbo. I’m kinda glad that the USA didn’t win because of that. Belgium looked like the better team as they should have!

Even without the Red Card controversy, US was going to have an uphill battle. Belgium even playing “mid” during group stages is far more developed compared to the US team. It’s hard to form a team in a country that does not care about the game and good talent usually gets sent to Europe for development. This is apparent if you watch any MLS game, it’s usually pitiful compared to UFEA.
