Where Owls Know My Name by Rivers of Nihil (has groovy riffs with calm sections occasionally and sax solos)
Rivers of Nihil's self-titled also feels like their attempt to become more mainstream so it could be worth checking out as someone with little exposure to metal
Tech death is generally pretty hard to recommend to people who are new to metal because of how chaotic and dense it tends to be but i think Rivers of Nihil's self-titled might be a good bet
