  What's your favorite PR2 memory?
Posted by: Rca Man - 14th December 2024, 12:46 PM - Forum: Platform Racing 2 - Replies (6)

Hello PR2 community! I originally joined PR2 in 2008 on Kongergate many years ago, I'm making this post to have a place that people can share old memories like videos and screenshots, Back in the days when we would make yolasites to play PR2 and chat on xat, So to start, I will list below some old videos that i made when i was a teenager. I'm looking forward to seeing the great memories that you guys share from back in the old days of platform racing 2!

This video is the oldest video i have recorded of myself and 2 other friends that no longer play PR2. I ended up losing contact with them from over the years, I wish them the best in life and thank you for the amazing memories that you guys have given me from when i was a kid, I will never forget those nights i would stay up on my moms old computer just to race with you guys!

This video was recorded December 14th of 2009. (Todays date of making this post makes this video 15 years old December 14th of 2024)
me jellyhood and natfan - YouTube

This video is just another random video of me playing platform racing 2 on January 19th of 2010, My spelling in this video is terrible, I was 13 after all though lol
https://youtu.be/lCAsgn3et-g?si=uQJdnyuzElzGngQN

In this video i show off a recreated level i did with color effects of Zerosters level. This level is still playable if you look up my username on PR2 Rca Man.

I recorded this video December 16th of 2015
https://youtu.be/ApVRL5-quTE?si=pNsQwLLVDAAc1tvh

In this video i'm not the creator of this video but in this video you can see me entering a level on the Mario bros remix level at 0:13 seconds of the video. This video was uploaded to youtube on January 10th of 2010. I believe the original uploader was banned due to cheating on the game, I don't condone cheating but it's a good look at history and seeing how active PR2 was back in the day.

Hello everyone! It must be around 13-14 years since I was last on this site - and somehow I stumbled across it again today. It's so nice to see Jiggmin.com is still going strong - I really enjoyed Platform Racing 2 and the Jiggmin's Village community when I was younger and spent a lot of time here. I doubt anyone who I knew is still around on this site these days - but hello if you are still here! And for those who've enjoyed Jiggmin's Village since then, I hope you continue to for many more years to come!

  ??? BUYING A NEW CAR ???
Posted by: Different - 12th December 2024, 4:34 PM - Forum: Discussion Hall - Replies (26)

It really sucks when you see your dream car online or in person and you can’t even afford to buy it. You’re stressed tf out because you’re currently dealing with that shitty ass piece of used junk with a million miles on it. Always visiting the dealership trying to stay ahead of repairs, living paycheck to paycheck hoping you can save enough for the repairs, and dealing with serious issues like a blown transmission. Who the hell smiles at that… seriously?!

It’s a massive punch to the gut knowing that you could be YEARS away from buying your dream car. It just feels impossible right now - with all the bills, emergencies, necessities, low incomes, car prices, and personal desires. Damn, this makes it extremely difficult to buy a brand new Ferrari. Sure you can always change your situation, but it’s going to take a lot out of you.

Now hypothetically speaking, what if we could immediately dismiss all that bullshit and put $1,000,000 into your bank account right now?! Now you’re overwhelmed with extreme blissfulness, your jaw just hit the floor, your eyes just stretched open the size of Texas, and no more driving a pathetic-looking vehicle! All that stress just left your soul knowing how much money you have, right now.

With that kind of money, it’s almost limitless as to how much money you can pay for a certain type of car. Now obviously there are certain cars out there (like the Bugatti Chiron) that are worth at least $3 - $5 million. No, you can’t afford that but your budget does say that you can now afford to buy an exotic/luxury car in the six figure range, if you’d like. So, I’m curious what kind of car would you buy if you had $1,000,000 in your bank account, right now? Here’s a few choices below, to help you decide within your budget.

  Victoria Adventure
Posted by: Delphinoid_ - 29th November 2024, 7:13 AM - Forum: Blogs - Replies (1)

I just got back from my 2 week trip to Victoria. It was SO good! The MATRIX workshop was awesome, there were lots of great talks and I got to meet a lot of people I'd wanted to talk to for a while (as well as some people I'd never heard of before who were super nice). I also got to discuss some potential side projects in knot theory and fusion categories. It was really fancy too: on top of providing free accommodation, MATRIX provided free all-you-can-eat buffets for breakfast and dinner, with the food provided for dinner changing each night (I got to try kangaroo for the first time - I also saw a lot of wild kangaroos in rural Victoria, as well as an emu). Honestly, the food was somehow a really strong highlight.

On Friday, I got to go to MIKU EXPO!! Here are some videos I recorded. Honestly it was such an incredible time, I desperately want to go to the next one. I hope they hold one in Australia again soon!

Words just can't express how cool this was, I felt the adrenaline for the rest of the night. What I totally didn't expect, but should have in retrospect, was being able to actually feel the music: it reverberated throughout the arena, you could really feel the vibrations of the sound waves hitting you, I've never felt anything like it before. It was just insanely exciting.

Over the weekend, I went caving with a friend (the forest we went to was really cool, huge amount of biodiversity, and we got to see some glowworms), and then we went to Fortress. For those outside of Australia, Fortress is a bar / arcade where you can hire game consoles and play while eating. It's underground and has the interior of a fantasy tavern, very reminiscent of D&D. Super cool, we got to play some Smash Bros. and Mario Party.

Overall, an amazing two weeks, from both a professional and a personal perspective. I'm a bit sad that it's over, I really hope I'll have an excuse to return to Victoria again soon.

  Been a minute! (update shenanigans)

Well howdy-do J-Village

It has been a loooong minute. I hope everyone is doing well & life is treating yall great Smile

I thought I'd go ahead and post some sweet updates on life (feel free to let me know how your life is going in the comments!)

The past few years have been super gnarly with personal growth. I'm nearly 3 years in to the most loving relationship I could have imagined. My darling is my world and I am excited to wake and sleep with her every day <3 I could never imagine life without her and she is my rock. The most supportive person I've ever met and somehow puts up with my insane amount of tiktok vocal stims xD

I'm still going in on music. Recently I've been really deep diving in to the world of Riddim Dubstep, which is what actually got me into producing in 2013-2014. Currently garnering some pretty awesome exposure on soundcloud/tiktok and instagram as of the past couple months when I actually decided to finish tunes and start posting them - you can find my soundcloud here if you're interested Smile

I'm also with a promotions company named Tauawhi Promotions (Tauawhi in Te Reo Maori, the native language of NZ, means "to embrace, to love"). We're currently the only Dubstep promotions company in NZ right now bringing international acts here to play and it's been awesome. Got to meet and yarn with a few of my idols because of it Smile

I've got some awesome shows lined up that I'll be playing on throughout 2025 (including co-headlining with some massive names!). We're also having chats about doing international shows soon starting across the road, AUSSIE!

Things in the past couple years have been a roller coaster (for good!).

Hope things in the village are going swell

Much love

  Jiggmin still lives!
Posted by: DD667 - 23rd November 2024, 7:50 PM - Forum: Welcoming Gates - Replies (5)

Wow wow wow.

I first started playing Platform Racing 3 (DarkDiscpline667) in October of 2010, I first started using JV (DD667, AnthraX, etc) in November of 2011.
I knew of this forum (albeit not my login details), I have played Platform Racing 3 Reborn quite extensively in the past.

I am 25 years old now, I didn't really know where to put this, but I just wanted to say thank you for keeping the memory of Jiggmin alive, and to wish you all the best, even those I butted heads with as teens. Platform Racing was once my everything, and it's heartwarming to know it still means so much to people.

As for me? I graduated university with a Bachelors in English and am now a copywriter, at least until AI takes the position. I picked up a security license, as I've pretty much completed the gym (120kg strict press, e.g.), and am looking to start wrestling and Muay Thai as hobbies. In the future, I will get into a trade.

Rock on, JV'ers.

  SANDWICHES ????‍????
Posted by: Different - 23rd November 2024, 11:33 AM - Forum: Discussion Hall - Replies (19)

Listen, one of the most satisfying things to do during lunch time is to sink your teeth into a delicious, scrumptious, mouth-watering, toasted sandwich done right. All your favorite garnishes, condiments, and other toppings on a sandwich to satisfy your stomach! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a carnivore, a vegan, or none of the above… you can still enjoy a sandwich of any kind as long as it meets your expectations. Some people have a favorite fast food chain that they’ll buy a sandwich from, and there are those who enjoy making it from home.

As you can see for me, I love Firehouse subs, man. Just recently, the premium turkey Thanksgiving sandwich caught my attention for sure ? Stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, and good ole mayonnaise to kick off a Thanksgiving holiday the right way! Now of course everyone has a different opinion about it, and then there are some of you who don’t even care for sandwiches at all. Either way, it doesn’t matter to me because we’re all different which is something that I always strive to be. To me, $15.99 (plus tax) for a large, Thanksgiving sub is expensive af. But that’s the sacrifice that people are willing to make for the tastiness of the sub that accommodates the quality of it.

The first thing that blew my mind was, why the hell are there not any threads about sandwiches?? ? Well now things are going to be different, thanks to me. Do you guys have any favorite fast food chains, would you rather make your own sandwich from store-bought ingredients to save money, or do you just not care for sandwiches at all? The choice is yours.
