  Unsafe block, and a few other ideas.

Please let me know if this is not the right place for this post. This could also apply to PRF in addition to PR2
1. A block that is not safe. We use bricks and pushblocks, but it would be nice to have a normal block that can't be destroyed or moved that is also not safe.
2. Silent published levels. I'd love to go to all my levels and make them intimate time, remove specific hats, change their music, make a minor fix, ect. Without it showing up on newest or today's best lists.
3. More pages on ATB list. I know you turned this one down, but the reason I want it is to be able to see more levels without having to search for them. I'd settle for being able to see other players favorite lists.
4. Being able to view the name, level maker, and level descriptions from inside a level. On this note. I'd love to be able to favorite a level from inside of it too. Maybe in the rate screen once it is done.
5. A way in level editor to know how much art and how many more blocks you can place. I live in constant fear toward the end of levels.
6. A level type that sets all players stats to specified numbers. It would work on some glitch levels as well as make some races a bit more competitive because it levels the playing field. I think it would be fun to make a level were all stats start at 30 but I put smiley faces along the way so the race gets faster and faster as you go. I've noticed a lot of levels that have to bottom out your stats and reset them with face blocks to get this desired effect.

I am starting to run now, i am planning to run a 5k on February 28th 2021. this 5k means a lot to me because i have classical galactosemia and so does my brother and sister. 

i haven't ran since high school 6 years ago, so my legs are sore af! but i ran track and xc in high school for 4 years and i understand what i am doing and i'm not quiting like the other people i talk to about running.

so while looking up my PRs, i found my old high school rival (he is an exact mirror of my PR times but beat my time for 2mile and 5k the year after i grad hs)  and i plan on beating his PR for this upcoming 5k

im thinking i am going to post a blog weekly to post progress on how i am doing on my running upto the race day!

Alright people, check this out: I've seen a lot of interesting costumes and hats get created and implemented into Platform racing 2 over the years, but the problem is that they're dead. Other than newbies, who in the right mind even thinks about picking up a crown hat, destroying mines, and such. It's all dead. Let's face it, this game is highly addictive with its quick responsiveness towards creating levels, folding for team jiggmin, helping the community reach goals, and many more. But we all know that ranking up is the number one most addictive trend happening atm.

The Majority of people utilize exp hats for macroing/simming, some people may find the new hats such as the cheese and jellyfish hats, interesting, and then you've got the artifact hat which is a good looking item. The rest of the hats are really dead af, and I'm noticing that happen as the years go by. The moon hat serves hardly any purpose, the jumpstart hat has become essentially worthless, and the rest of the hats aren't really popular anymore. 

I look at the costume ideas that have been implemented into the system and don't get me wrong, some of them are pretty cool such as the star set, turkey, crocodile, snowman, etc. But over the years, sets like the slender man have become dead af, now! It's obsolete! Stop and think for a second... how many players do you know, use the slender man set? Exactly, it's dead af!

THE BIG IDEA

Now here's where things get interesting, and you're going to want to tap into this and spread the word. Here's my new idea that should be taken into consideration immediately, no question: For the new hat idea, it should be called the INFERNO HAT. Why? Because it's time to give the people something that they'll adapt to and utilize for a really long time. Here's what it does: instead of freezing water as the Santa hat does, it turns the water into smoke blocks, and anyone who swims in it, will be burned for 5 seconds. In other words, I swim through some water blocks, you follow after me, and you're burned!

But that's not all... You are equipped with a FIREBALL GUN, but it can only be used ONCE, and if you're in last place. That FIREBALL GUN will blast the player (who's in First place) with a fireball and anyone who gets in its path. The INFERNO HAT gives you immunity to absolutely every weapon/item threat except for the Jiggy hat and an ICE WAVE. If someone bounces on you or freezes you, it's just like putting out an ignited fire flame; you slow down for a few seconds and then go back to normal. Oh and if you're not wearing RED OR ORANGE, you are affected by the smoke blocks, once! Now there are levels to this INFERNO HAT, which I'll discuss later in this thread. But for now, let's discuss the new threads/costume.

First, you've got the DEEP FLAMERY HEAD which allows for quick recovery, every time you're shot with a sword, knife, gun, etc. Same thing with the DEEP FLAMERY SUIT, and the DEEP FLAMERY SHOES. If all these items are not worn all together, it will be ineffective, which means there will be no quick recovery.  

So to elaborate further: INFERNO HAT equippes you with one FIREBALL GUN (used only once) to burn the person in 1st place, turns smoke into water which means those who swim through it will be burned for a few seconds ONLY ONCE (if you're not wearing RED or ORANGE, and also gives you quick recovery, just like the DEEP FLAMERY HEAD, DEEP FLAMERY SUIT, and the DEEP FLAMERY SHOES. 

Now earlier, I mentioned that there are levels towards the INFERNO HAT, and by that I mean their colors. Now I understand that people love to fold for team jiggmin, and will continue to do so until they can no longer do so anymore. So how about this: this special INFERNO HAT has 5 colors, just like we started out with 5 rank tokens 8 years ago. You have Cactus Green, starlight yellow, bright orange, smoking orange, and deep flamery red.

Depending on your folding pts, you will be awarded different colors for the INFERNO HAT. This DOES NOT apply to the body set, only the hat!

Cactus Green= 2,500,000 F@h pts. Starlight Yellow= 5,000,000 F@h pts. Bright Orange= 50,000,000 F@h pts. Smoking Orange 100,000,000 F@h pts. Deep Flamery Red= 250,000,000 F@h pts. 

Now at this point, you're probably asking, why so many pts, and what good is it going to serve me? Well here's the thing, over a decade we've been successful with helping Team Jiggmin achieve MASSIVE amounts of folding at home pts just by helping others fold to reach tokens and prizes, and with everyone chipping in and upgrading graphics cards to fold crazy amounts of points such as 300k a WU, we've had no problem reaching goals as a team. So this whole colors thing with the INFERNO HAT should ignite a fire in Pr2 players and incentivize them to fold more.

Now here's why these colors for the INFERNO HAT are worth so much: for one thing, they provide a special power that not too many people will achieve anytime soon, so it's nice to be able to have something that others don't, for a while. Also, here's something that I didn't mention earlier, that should be implemented in the game:

Cactus Green= allows you to stand on green disappearing blocks for an extended period of time.

Starlight Yellow= gives you a quick recovery after being hit by ANYTHING!

Bright Orange= Makes you invincible towards everything that can harm you except for the jiggy hat, and ice waves.

Smoking Orange= Equippes you with a FIREBALL gun!

Deep flamery Red= gives you an extra 1k experience pts, when you wear this hat!

So it's like, whenever you do a 4p sim/macro run, and you wear the INFERNO HAT with the red color, you gain 1k experience pts, as a replacement of just a regular experience hat. Let me simplify this a little more: I wear 4 exp hats, I finish the race in two minutes and gain 1,000xp, no problem. The INFERNO HAT (Red color), adds in additional 1k exp pts, so it's like you'll have 2,000xp a race. Happy Hour doubles it and makes it 4,000xp a race.

Still confused? How about this: the only time the hat is effective is during a 2 min race when you wear three other experience hats because as you know, the hat can NEVER fall off. Wearing it alone does nothing. 

Also, when you wear the DEEP FLAMERY SHOES, you leave a fire trail when your character walks across the surface, the DEEP FLAMERY SUIT has a glowing flame around it, and the DEEP FLAMERY HEAD fades in and out all the time to give you a cool effect. 

TRAPWORK TOURNAMENT

Now that I gave you the logistics of the BIG IDEA, let's discuss how they can be achieved: Trapwork War! Just like the tournament idea for body sets and the artifact hat, this one is a little different. You would complete someone's trapwork level in a certain amount of time, while the judge quits the race and watches you. You must complete 30 trapwork levels ranked from Easy to Hard, in a certain amount of time to achieve pts towards prizes.

Each level is worth 5pts when you complete it in a certain amount of time.

DEEP FLAMERY SHOES= 25pts equivalent to 5 levels completed

DEEP FLAMERY SUIT= 75pts equivalent to 15 levels completed

DEEP FLAMERY HEAD= 100pts equivalent to 20 levels completed

INFERNO HAT= 150pts equivalent to 30 levels completed

  THE ORIGINAL CAMPAIGN - PRINCIPAL OF PLATFORM RACING - Pilot

You might recall way back when I made a blog post about some sort of YouTube project involving Platform Racing or the Jiggmin mythos at large. As you can see here, this has manifested into a new level review series I have dubbed "Principal of Platform Racing", fashioned after MtPain27's Dean of Doom series, where I review each level from a set and rank them appropriately; but here we're reviewing Platform Racing levels. I doubt any of you at all are familiar with his series, but do give his show a watch - both to understand the context of this and because it's a good watch.

This is one of my first "big" video editing projects, and admittedly, this video shows my lack of experience - there's many rough patches here and there, not limited to but including:

  • My commentary with a microphone and recording environment that isn't the best, and with an awkward teenager-like voice that isn't very practiced in the art of narration
  • Choppy and inconsistent video effects
  • A script that could've used more polishing
This was also my first test drive using FOSS video editing software, kdenlive. I didn't feel like pirating Vegas again and I've recently taken the free/libre software-pill (still have yet to move away from many spooky proprietary things though), so there was a learning curve here. It's actually a great piece of software, would definitely recommend for video editing purposes.

I would've had this video up like a day earlier but then kdenlive crashed and I forgot to save, turning five hours worth of work into ether. Woops.

Now this is where you come in. I hope there's some people here interested in the concept and willing to provide me some feedback, or if they'd like to see more episodes in the future.

Also voice reveal if you ever cared about that.

Hello all!

So, I don't know about the rest of you but I really like math. . . So every so often I will post a new puzzle that has a very interesting solution behind it. If people seem interested that I will keep on posting puzzles. There are not prizes besides the knowledge about our universe!

Puzzle 1:

Consider the following situation: Rolling a 5-of-a-kind with a total of five, six sided dice. each die has an equally fair chance of rolling a number between 1 through 6. The odds of rolling a 5-of-a-kind is equal to 1/1296 (or 6 desired outcomes to 7776 total outcomes).

While attempting to roll a 5-of-a-kind is unlikely it is not impossible, so attempting this over and over again will increase your chances of achieving this desired result. Now, lets suppose you took 1296 attempts to get a 5-of-a-kind. Since the odds are 1/1296 it is likely that you would have seen this result at least once. The first question is: What is the probability that you would have seen a 5-of-a-kind at least once in 1296 rolls.

This is a very interesting question because even with slim odds and a very large number of attempts you are still not guaranteed to see the desired result within the 1296 tries. This question is also interesting because it a question that considers the "Probability of Probabilities."

Question 2: Once you work out the solution to question 1, determine how many rolls will give you a 50% chance of seeing a 5-of-a-kind at least once. A 75% chance? a 99% chance? 

Question 3: Lets consider you have a 1 in 'n' chance of a desired outcome (where n is an arbitrary whole number) and you had an 'n' amount of attempts to achieve the desired result. What happens as n gets really large (That would imply that the odds of a given outcome is getting smaller as 1/n goes to zero, but also, you are giving that event more chances at showing up with that larger number."

Speedrunner of the Week!
Welcome to Speedrunner of the Week! What is Speedrunner of the Week? It is a contest for skilled players, there are racers, fast racers, and on another level, speed runners. Do you have what it takes to be a speed runner?
How does it work? Every week a new level is picked for players to speed run, a time is selected for you to beat, you must beat that time and all other contestants' times, the fastest time sent in by the end of the week will be the winner.
For winning this contest, the player will receive 5 points for the contest and epic croc set. For the person that gets second place gets 4 points, the third person gets 3 points, and fourth place will get 2 points. Everyone else will get 1 point. Submissions will close on Sundays at 12am (EDT)
Rules:
• Failure to follow these guide lines will void your run for the week.
• No corner glitches are allowed or any other glitch, unless the level requires it
• You are only allowed to use up to 195 Stat Points(Rank 45)
• You are not allowed to use any hats other than the Exp Hat, Kong Hat, Party Hat, Jigg Hat, and the Jellyfish hat.

After 624 days, 1389 attempts and 926 prize drops, Unnerfed Cola Traps has been beaten. This adventure has been absolutely insane, but it was worth it. It was a source of constant stress and demotivation, but the pain has been put to rest.
